Intended for:
For middle and senior managers to understand and implement strategic management of teams and organizations.
Challenge:
Many administrative duties and external distractions, but few opportunities to analyze the development of oneself, the team and the organization - this is the everyday life of many managers. Some leaders even compare this race to "boiling in a pot of soup", where it is difficult to see where the leader himself, his team and the organization are actually going.
However, operational challenges do not absolve the responsibility for long-term development.
How to set the right goals? How to ensure development in the medium and long term?
How does a leader get out of the pot and boil the soup instead of boiling with it?
The solution to this challenge can be sought by asking more nuanced questions. What is strategy and what is strategic management? How does the changing environment affect us? How to recognize and manage risks? How to choose and how to change goals? What are the competences of organizations and what are the competences of employees? How to communicate important goals? What should the manager devote his time to? How to find development obstacles? How to delegate serious challenges? How to help an employee on a daily basis? What type of leader am I? How to grow to the next level of leadership?
Answers to these and other questions - in the Kārlis Apkalns seminar "Effective leader #4. Strategic Management”.
